Yes, some marriages face big problems that are extremely complex to solve, but those thankfully are rare. In most troubled marriages, whatever their issues actually are, a couple needs to see that they can accomplish a great deal with a few simple changes.

God wants us to grow and succeed, but often we pray asking God to give us a payoff without the process. We want to harvest without having to purchase the land, plow the soil, plant the seed, water the plants, weed the soil, feed the plants, and wait until harvest season.

Spiritual leadership in a secular world is vital to your health as an individual (and to the Church as a whole). But how do you lead

The good news is that we don’t have to be someone great to do something great. We don’t have to be someone famous, or powerful, or educated to accomplish great things in this world. Often, it is the most unlikely of characters who find themselves being used by God to make a difference.

We all have influence with others whether we realize it or not.  Discovering your clout is an essential part of unleashing your purpose.  You have a specific purpose, a calling, that only you are qualified to fulfill.  Your God-given influence defines your purpose.  Your purpose establishes your leadership.  Your leadership makes a mark on the world. 

Why? Because you thought differently. You held two seemingly opposing ideas in tension effectively saying,

You can be rich and not know it. You can be rich and not feel it. You can be rich and not act like it. And that is a problem. In fact, that’s why we need to take a look at it.

If we focus our leadership toward God I believe we may begin to see the kingdom manifested in our midst. If we take our selfish ambition, which can creep up in any of us at any time, and transform into true passion for him, I think our leadership will have power beyond what we know, power outside of us that is from the spirit of God.

It is often “easier” to get a “seasoned” leader, but I have found, in certain positions, the younger leader is the best option.

On more than one occasion, I’ve sat with people and listened as they described in detail how their lives are falling apart around them. As the tragedies unfold, I start to get depressed because honestly, I don’t see a way out. 

You probably hear this question all the time: “Where do you see yourself in 10 years?”

If you are in an organization that is fear-driven and cannot effectively change the culture, you have to decide whether your calling is there or if you need to break free.
